Another piece I started for the 30 Minute Challenge Tumblr that I ended up finishing up for Mother's day. I'm really happy with how Shining Armor turned out for my first time drawing him. This was also my first attempt at actually drawing a real background that resembled the show. 3rd digital drawing and still a long way to improve.

Something's been bugging me for a while. I keep hearing that Twilight Velvet (Twilight Sparkle's mother) resembles G1 Twilight, both in appearance and cutie mark. Only, G1 Twilight is a bright pink, whereas Twilight Velvet is kind of grayish. And as far as I can tell it's not a case like Celestia, where the overlaid colors makes the character appear white when she's actually a very pale pink. It's really confusing, and I wish someone would clear things up for me.
